ABOUT THIS BLOG

This blog was originally established in the fall of 2005 as a means for the staff of the New Orleans-based publishing company, IMDiversity, Inc., to communicate among themselves and with our clients, and document their experiences and whereabouts in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Set up by our company's good, long-time friend and former Editor-in-Chief Jennifer Hicks of WordsWork Consulting - Web Writing that Works in Massachusetts, it was an invaluable emergency measure at the time, but fell dormant for a couple of years as the staff became resituated and regular communciations were restored.

In early 2008, the editors determined to revive this space for regular and very different use, planning to replace the previous What's New at IMDiversity section of our main website with a more interactive and outward-looking format that would allow interested visitors -- our casual readers, active jobseeker visitors, and employers and advertising clients alike -- to more easily access and respond to news and information about developments at IMDiversity and THE BLACK COLLEGIAN according to the topics that were most relevant to their interests, including through RSS/Atom subscriptions, email alerts, and posted comments.

We will establish tags here that can help sort out these postings by topic of interest, and invite those who are interested in keeping abreast of news from our company and sites network to subscribe with your favorite feed toolor bookmarking program.

Sincerely,
The Staff at IMDiversity
